Squarespace Is Easy, When You Know What You're Doing.

Squarespace is the new Wordpress? For us, it's the preferred platform when our clients want a simple, clean, and easy content management system that costs a fraction of the price of coding from scratch. However, coding still needs to be done! But most importantly functionality, site structure, branding, and clear communication needs to be at the forefront.  From there, beautiful graphics, photography, font selection, and color fall into place. People are often mislead by the possibilities of using templates to design something fresh for their brand. All the fancy templates mean nothing if you don't know how to thoughtfully unveil the content, showcase the work, or set a tone for what you're trying to communicate.

We know Squarespace. More importantly, we know how to build a brands personality and take that personality into a website that is thoughtfully designed, technically awesome, and genuinely unique to you.

Not a fan of Squarespace? We have that covered too. We collaborate with professional developers to build custom sites in many platforms.

We are excited to be 1 of 18 self-promo pieces published in the new book "Flaunt" by UnderConsideration. This is the second edition of Flaunt and showcases portfolio's, self-promotions, and professional interviews about showing creative work in effective, compelling, and memorable ways. It's an honor to be featured among some very talented folks.

Reaching out to your audience in creative ways helps to stay top of mind in crowded competitions. A leave behind that is memorable, useful or both can be impactful, and is one investment worth doing. The Study has been sending out self-promo's for many years for ourselves, and our clients. This year's paid off with several new business opportunities and collaborations, plus it's always nice to see your work in print.

The Job Interview

IMG_0059.jpg

Had a fun time visiting Ray Bridgleb creator of The Job Podcast here in Portland. It's always a bit unusual for me to be interviewed, as usually I am the one doing the interview, but Ray was charming and it was an honor to be among some of the talented Portland alumni.

I love it when people reach beyond the typical days work to create something inspirational for themselves.  The Job is just that, an award-winning podcast produced by Needmore Design, featuring interviews with local celebrities and tastemakers. The interview will be live in a few months, we'll keep you posted!
