Mantel is located in the Kenton neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. A place with curated collections that are unique, and hand-crafted by local and regional artists.

INSIGHT

Create an identity that is fresh, conceptual, and highlights a modern aesthetic. 

TASK

Design a brand that would appeal to the artesian who’s taste spans from modern to eclectic vintage. To capture a sense of style mixing new with old, and raw with finished. Keep it ornate, but simple. 

SOLUTION

A Triangle Tower—The triangle represents creativity, harmony, illumination, culmination, and manifestation. 
In this mark dual triangles come together to form the letter “M”. Multiplied, the symbol radiates from the center outward creating a geometrical shape and tower of strength. Balanced by a graceful and timeless font and grounded with a simple rule.

DELIVERABLES:

Brand strategy, tagline, logo design, brand identity package, signage, hang tags, and design consultation and art direction for photography.

Website & Photo direction

Like the brand, the website has a minimal approach. Built in Squarespace the site is set up easily for the client to administer. 

We brought in local photographer Jeremy Pair to shoot for the site and capture owner Karen McClealland and her family to promote the new store and its launch.
